WHAT IS “GAIN”?

“Gain” is the premier design and business conference hosted by AIGA, the professional association for design. Learn more about the conference and this year’s speakers and schedule.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

The “Gain” conference is for anyone who could benefit from the spark of an innovative idea. This event typically attracts designers, managers and business leaders who use creativity and design to solve business challenges.

WHEN WILL THE CONFERENCE PROGRAM DETAILS BE ANNOUNCED?

The session descriptions will be announced in June and added to the schedule page.

I'M ALREADY REGISTERED FOR THE CONFERENCE. HOW CAN I SIGN UP FOR A PRE-CONFERENCE ACTIVITY?

AM I ELIGIBLE FOR THE EDUCATOR RATE?

At this time, the educator rate is available to AIGA members who identify as educators in the AIGA design community. The rate is determined by your current membership status.

CAN WE GET A DISCOUNT FOR GROUP REGISTRATIONS?

At this time, there are no discounted group rates for “Gain: AIGA Design and Business Conference.”

DO YOU OFFER A DISCOUNTED RATE FOR NONPROFIT EMPLOYEES? 

A limited number of nonprofit registrations are available. You may apply for the nonprofit rate by contacting us and supplying a copy of the organization’s 501(c)(3) and certificate of incorporation establishing nonprofit status.

CAN I VIEW THE SESSIONS I REGISTERED FOR ONLINE?

The confirmation email you receive at the time you register will include a link to view or print your registration record/receipt. You can also log in to add a workshop or roundtable when registration becomes available.

WILL A PACKET BE MAILED TO US BEFORE THE CONFERENCE? 

All conference materials will be received on-site when you check in at registration. This includes a full conference program and name badge. You may download the iOS application when it becomes available in September, which may be a helpful tool to plan your schedule.

WHAT DO REGISTRATION FEES COVER AND HOW ARE THEY SET?

The registration fee for participants includes attendance at all conference general session presentations and the Opening Night Reception. Continental breakfast and light refreshment breaks will be provided; lunch and dinner will be on your own. The fees are set to make the experience both memorable and affordable. Typically, the per person cost of putting on the conference is about three times the registration fee. Costs are offset by the generous support of our sponsors.

CAN I BUY A ONE-DAY PASS TO THE CONFERENCE? 

AIGA offers only full-conference registration to its events. The experience and the pricing for the conference are based on participants attending the entire conference. Based on experience, we have determined that it is neither economically nor administratively feasible for our small staff to offer partial registrations and to oversee compliance. As such, it would be unfair to those paying full registration to allow those purchasing a partial registration to experience the full conference by violating the intent of a partial registration.

DO YOU OFFER ANY COMP REGISTRATIONS? 

We do not offer complimentary registrations to anyone, including board members and chapter leadership. This policy is based on a firm commitment to equity and fairness. We respect our customers and will not violate their trust.
